Training Description
The Protective + Risk Observations For Eliminating Sexual Offense Recidivism (PROFESOR) from Dr. James Worling is an innovative structured checklist designed to assist professionals to identify and summarize protective and risk factors for adolescents and emerging adults between the ages of 12 to 25 years who have offended sexually. The PROFESOR is intended to assist with planning interventions that can help individuals to enhance their capacity for sexual and relationship health and, thus, eliminate sexual recidivism. Presented by the developer of the PROFESOR, this on demand certified workshop will train you in the use of the instrument while earning 8 hours of valuable Continuing Education Credit.
The development of the PROFESOR will be discussed, item-by-item instructions will be given on how to reliably score the measure and interpret its findings, practices in data collection will be explained, and guidance will be put forth on how to apply PROFESOR reporting conventions. Case studies will be employed to allow you to practice using the tool’s manual and to learn to avoid administration errors.
More cost-effective and time-efficient than attending an in-person workshop but covering the same content, this innovative live training is the first-of-its-kind.
